Watchlist is a horizontal recognition platform, not a single-industry tool — it applies facial recognition and licence plate recognition (ANPR) wherever an operator needs to know who or what is on-site in real time, rather than reviewing recorded footage after an incident has already happened.

80 Tech Solutions developed the underlying recognition platform using edge processing along with web and mobile applications, camera and hardware integrations, cloud infrastructure, real-time alerting, event management, and backend administration — built so the same core platform can be configured for retail loss prevention, hospitality access control, warehouse security, or venue compliance.

The Challenge

Standard CCTV records what happened, but it doesn't tell staff what's happening right now — recognising a repeat offender, a flagged vehicle, or a person of interest still comes down to a staff member happening to notice, or reviewing footage after the fact.

Across industries, that gap looks different in the details but the same in shape: retailers need to spot known offenders at the door, warehouses need to control vehicle and personnel access, and compliance-driven venues need real-time flags against a watchlist or known trespassed persons. The platform needed to serve all of these from one configurable core rather than building a bespoke tool for each.
